Achey Breaky...Uterus?

I figured as I said goodbye to my weekend, I would write up a blog to post since it has been several days since my last.

Friday evening, Mr had to work, so my friend Katherine came over after she got out of work and ate dinner with Dillon and I. Once he went to bed, she and I assembled the baby's shelving unit and in what felt like record time! Then we decided to tackle the crib and assemble that. We came across a snag in the end but figured out a way to make things work. It took close to two hours to get that crib together, but I am so relieved that everything is finally put together and where I want it to go. I cannot imagine having waited any longer because it was very hard on my body at 31 1/2 weeks pregnant...let alone being further along and even bigger.

The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing. I had bought yarn on Friday while Dillon was in school, to match the bedding set I bought for the baby. Since the powder pink blanket I had been making her is sort of jacked up in the first few rows, I scrapped it and decided to make a new one. It wouldn't have matched the set anyways and I am very picky about things I make. Since it was noticably messed up I wouldn't have wanted to use it. Yesterday I looked on YouTube and learned how to change colors and make stripes. I am extremely pleased with my progress so far. The edges are completely perfect and straight and the stripes are looking wonderful. I am so excited to finish it so I can see how it looks, since it looks really good so far. It is on the bigger side so it will fit in her crib and she can use it as she grows.

Mr has work this evening and again tomorrow. I hate his schedule. I hate the place he works. I can't wait until we move and he is back on a ship. While I absolutely hate when he has to go out to sea or deploy...I love that he was home every night (except once every few days for duty) and that he had a normal sleep schedule. As in sleeping the majority of the night and being awake in the daytime. We saw him more when he was on the ship than where he works now. We are both very disappointed with shore duty. I guess you live and you learn though. I am glad he'll be off for a few days after tomorrow, I feel safer when he's home with us at night. Especially the further along I get.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm off to work on the baby blanket for a bit then go to bed.
