I know it has been a good bit since I last blogged. I have just been so exhausted and busy. But I am finding the energy, some how, to write a blog before I go lay in bed and watch some tv until I fall asleep.
I have finally finished the baby's afgan that I've been crocheting for the past couple of weeks or so. It looks amazing, I am so pleased with how it turned out considering it is the first time I have ever crocheted stripes and changed colors. The edges are all perfectly even as well. It also matches perfectly with the bedding set I bought Maliya, which arrived a week after my step mother in law, Kelly, mailed it to me!
I re-painted the remaining letters of the baby's name today, which will be hung above her crib. I had painted the 3 pink letters to a dark red but realized that the white letters did not really go with the bedding. So today I bought a cream colored paint and re-painted the white letters and I cannot wait to get them hung up on the wall!
I also bought some extra paints and wood crafts. I decided I wanted to make name plaques for the kids to hang on their doors. I made Dillon's today, it is not quite finished though. I have to buy another bag of letters/shapes. Then I will have two stars to paint and put onto his plaque. I will wait until I buy more letters to start Maliya's since I need more L's because the bag only came with two and I used them both for Dillon. Since we're sharing a room with Maliya until we move, her sign with go on a small stand I want to buy, and sit on top of her shelving unit. Dillon's can go on his door once I find the hammer. I may need to buy a new one because I cannot remember for the life of me where I put it or the tack nails.
A few days ago we ordered Pizza Hut for dinner. I got a salad with ranch dressing and Mr and Dillon had pizza. Dillon wanted some of my salad, much to my surprise, and he ate a good bit of the harder chunks of lettuce. About an hour and half or so later, when I was getting him ready for bed I noticed a really bad rash all over his upper body. I'm talking belly, chest, neck, back, upper and lower arms. It stopped at his diaper line though and wasn't anywhere below that area. We kept him home from school the next day to keep an eye on the rash and he had some off-brand Benedryl to help with his itching. He has no other symptoms so I am certain it is some sort of allergic reaction to the ranch dressing from Pizza Hut. He went to school today, but the rash is still all over and is now on his face and legs. The weird thing is that it's not as bad as it was, but it's spread. So tonight I let him soak in a very warm bath and before bed his rash seemed a little better than it was earlier today. I called to try to make an appointment for him today but of course they never have anything available. The nurse suggested bringing him to walk-in sick call tomorrow morning or else we'd have to wait until next week because they will be closed until Tuesday due to the holiday. She said it sounds like he needs a stronger antihistimine, so I am going to take him and see what the dr says and if we can get something that will help his rash better than just the allergy medicine he's been taking for now.
I am almost 33 weeks pregnant, on Monday. And I am feeling every bit of almost 33 weeks too. My left hand is going numb on and off all day and night from the carpal tunnel, but I am glad that there is no piercing pain like I had around Christmas time. My knees hurt from going up the stairs and when I sit on the floor to change Dillon's diaper, etc. My lower back hurts often as well as my lower abdomin from time to time. I just keep telling myself that it is almost over...not too much longer.
I hope everyone had a good week and they have an even better weekend. Mr has to work tonight and tomorrow night so it will be pretty quite around here those nights. Tomorrow is the play off game for our team, go Steelers!!!! I know we can beat Baltimore, we just have to!
