His Laughter

I love the sound of Dillon's laughter.

It's infectious and while he may not be able to speak well or very clearly, he knows how to make me smile.

I can't believe he is turning three in a week. It's been a fast three years and it kind of scares me. I wish he would slow down just a little bit. The days tend to drag, but looking back the months and years just flew right by me. I am so proud of how far he has come with his speech and he continues to amaze me every day! He's been trying very hard lately to say new words and I even got to record him counting 1 through 10 as a voicenote on my Blackberry. I was able to send it to some friends and family since everyone we know is so far away and they absolutely loved it!

I am anxious and excited to see how he does with a new baby. He loves children and he loves helping Mommy, so I bet he will be a great big brother! He will be in pre-school by the time the baby comes so at least he won't be overwhelmed with baby all day and can have that morning/early afternoon break until he comes home from school. Mommy will enjoy the peace as well!

Until then I want to cherish every single moment we have together. As a stay at home mom, it is going to be a big change for me when he starts school. He will be fine and love it, but I'll be the one crying as I leave! I won't know what to do with myself all morning until he comes home...I'll be counting the hours until I get to pick him up. School will be great for him though and he really needs it. They have good resources there and Mr and I are excited for him to experience this. I'm just glad he won't be scared or cry when I take him and have to leave him there.
